Seed Sensation: Using your senses to sketch and experience seeds
December 1, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm PST
$50.00 – $75.00Join Melinda Nakagawa for a fun workshop exploring a variety of seeds for edible plants and vegetables.
We will create a mini seed catalog using a nature journaling style of noting what we see about the plant and seeds, write fun facts and care tips about the plants. We’ll take a closer look at the seeds with our senses, and take some seeds of your own to sow in your garden or patio.
We will explore the plants through photos, and the seeds in our hands. I’ll show you how to sketch simply and loosely, while quieting the inner critical voice. When we draw, we are seeing more deeply. And over time we develop an eye for noticing more in the world around us.
We’ll learn some fun facts about each of the vegetables or flowers that we can add to our mini seed catalog. And at the end you’ll take home with the seeds for you to grow at home.
No drawing or journaling experience needed.
