Journaling in Nature: Elkhorn Slough Reserve

Bring your sketchbook and curiosity as we explore a local nature reserve. We’ll explore this special land that has a great diversity of native flora and fauna. Wander thorugh oak woodlands, down the trails with sweeping views of the slough, or the native plant gardens by the visitor’s center.
All are welcome! Space is limited- please register to save your space.
Where:
Elkhorn Slough Estuarine Research Reserve, 1700 Elkhorn Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076
When:
Meet at 9am at the Visitor’s Center
Bring with you:
- Bring a sketchbook or paper on a clipboard, a pen/pencil (and colors optional).
- Wear layers appropriate for coastal weather, sturdy close-toed shoes for natural trails
- folding stool, if desired
- Water bottle, snacks, sun hat
Location details:
We gather at 9am in front of the visitor center. Plenty of parking, and restroom available.
