Description:
Birds are the most visible animals in nature, yet fleeting glances don’t give you much information for ID and learning. Fortunately, there are easy and effective strategies to capture those details to improve your awareness and recollection, boost confidence, and expand your bird personal knowledge.
The practice of nature journaling refines HOW and WHAT you observe, and sketching what you see creating lasting memories. The journal becomes your “sensory scrapbook” of your bird encounters.
Melinda will teach you how to simplify sketching and quick noting of what you experience while birding. Her gentle guidance and stress-free methods will ease the discomfort of even the most hesitant drawers.
Slowing down to observe more carefully and using multiple senses, you’ll have greater enjoyment of birds, spark deeper curiosity, and develop skills to make you a better birder.
All levels of drawing or birding skills. Beginners encouraged! Bring a sketchbook/notebook and pen and your curiosity.
